1969 UNGA Geneva Protocol 2/10/26
🚨 16 DECEMBER 1969
The UN General Assembly declared that the Geneva Protocol’s prohibition covered:
➡️ Chemical substances — gas, liquid or solid
➡️ Used for their direct toxic effects
➡️ On humans, animals OR PLANTS
🇦🇺 Australia & 🇳🇿 New Zealand had been parties to the Geneva Protocol since 1930.
My NZ-born Australian Plant Operator father arrived in Vietnam the VERY NEXT DAY — 17 December 1969.
The UN record also confirms the vote was 80–3–36.
