Subject: Follow-Up: Advocacy for Second-Generation Harm from TCDD (Agent Orange) Exposure
Dear Amnesty International Team,
I’m writing to follow up on my previous message regarding the urgent need for recognition and advocacy around second-generation harm caused by TCDD (dioxin), the toxic compound in Agent Orange.
As the child of a Vietnam veteran, I am personally affected—living with 17 confirmed health conditions linked to inherited exposure. Despite clear scientific evidence and growing international concern, the Australian government continues to deny recognition and support to people like me, leaving generations in limbo.
I have compiled extensive medical documentation, international studies, and legal frameworks to support this case and am preparing submissions to the UN, including under the CRPD and the Convention on the Rights of the Child. I’m seeking support from human rights organizations like Amnesty to help raise awareness, advocate for justice, and expose the ongoing neglect.
Could someone from your team please let me know if Amnesty would consider engaging with this issue, either through investigation, advocacy support, or guidance on potential pathways forward?
Thank you for your time, and for standing up for those whose rights have been ignored.
Warm Agent Orange Burns regards,
Danielle Stevens
