Prime Minister, I am writing to you again to seek the recognition and support owed to children harmed by the Vietnam War and its toxic legacy. Australia ratified Geneva Convention Additional Protocol I in June 1991, when I was still a minor. Under Article 77, I was a protected child affected by an international armed conflict, and those obligations remain binding on Australia today. My fully documented “service child” records — issued by the Australian Government — are publicly available online as proof of my lineage and status. I expect a written response from you directly, and any further redirection to DVA will be noted in my public record and shared with the Geneva-based UN missions monitoring Australia’s compliance. I will not give up pursuing the recognition and care that should have been provided, and my digital record has been created for three generations of children so this evidence cannot be erased. I will not stop. Ever.
